Lyric is a 21-year-old singer/songwriter and producer from the Gold Coast, who entrances audiences with her relatable lyricism and innovative production quality.
In January of 2024, she released her TikTok viral single, 'Gravity', which surpassed 700K streams after amassing a staggering 4M+ views across Lyric's socials. She then followed this up with her witty synth-pop anthem ‘Wildfire (Make You Mine)’, and Triple J Uneathed's Track of the Day ‘Isabella’, which have both similarly taken the internet by storm and grown her online following to more than 80K dedicated fans. She then released her sophomore EP ‘Nostalgia' in September of 2024, an exceptionally vulnerable body of work that explores the complex feelings of growing up, childhood, and time passing you by a little too quickly.
Writing songs for as long as she's been able to pick up a pen, she now crafts her tunes from the comfort of her home studio, having self-taught herself how to produce. She has supported pop sensations such as Eras tour opener Griff, Beth McCarthy and Mallrat, and showcased at BIGSOUND 2024 on the Triple J Unearthed stage, where Dave Ruby Howe described her as 'making accomplished modern pop with a strong songwriting voice at the centre'. Furthermore, she has taken home three coveted awards at the Gold Coast Music Awards, shared festival stages with the likes of BENEE, Matt Corby, Sycco and The Rions, and embarked on her sold out 'Nostalgia Tour' at the end of 2024, her debut headline tour around Australia. She now returns with her long-awaited melancholic single 'Friends'. With an exceptionally growing social media presence and an incredibly passionate fanbase, Lyric is certain to be an artist to keep a keen eye on in 2025.
